Welcome to South River Youth Athletics

South River Youth Athletics is a non-profit organization administered by a volunteer board representing the South River Community at large, whose mission is to: promote, encourage, direct and operate athletic programs for the children and youth of the South River area, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The association shall also strive to promote ideals of good citizenship as well as good sportsmanship through its athletic programs and activities, and for the benefit of the community.

First SRYA General Membership Meeting
Tuesday, September 21st, South River Youth Athletics will be hosting its very first General Membership Meeting as SRYA on Tuesday, September 21st at 7:00p.m. Location to be determined so please mark your calendars and plan on attending.

SRYA Fundraiser at the Steakhouse
On Tuesday, September 28th, 10% of all The Steakhouse's sales will be donated to SRYA. Just go to The Steakhouse and enjoy a great meal. At the end of the day they will total up the sales from the entire day and write a check to SRYA equal to 10% of the daily sales. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring all to enjoy a great meal and help your local sports association raise money.

First Annual SRYA Golf Tournament
SRYA will be hosting its first annual golf tournament on Wednesday, October 6th at the Golf Club at South River. Coffee, donuts and check-in at 8:00a.m., shot gun start at 9:00a.m., Adam's Rib for lunch and dinner. Various prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament. You can register as a single or as a foursome, cost: $125/golfer. Print the registration form and mail it ASAP. Registration will be limited to the first 144 PAID golfers, so register now!

Equipment Swap
Something new we are organizing is a Sporting Equipment Swap! We are collecting gently used CLEATS, PADS, LACROSSE STICKS, BASEBALL/SOFTBALL GLOVES, SOCCER SHIN GUARDS, ATHLETIC CLOTHING & BALLS (etc.) from the various sports that our children play and putting them to good use in our community. This is a great opportunity to donate, swap or receive what your child may need. Many times, our children outgrow equipment before it gets much use at all. This equipment can be used to meet a need of another family in our community. If you have items that you would like to donate or swap please contact Hilary Bunting at hilarybunting@aol.com.
