Divisions of Play

Tee-Ball U4-5

1. Played with Tee.
2. Regulation Baseball for play is Champion BCS5 Level 5 only.
3. Teams will play nine (9) players at a time in field.  Four outfielders, four infielders and a pitcher.
4. Coach from each team will officiate.
5. Distance along base paths will be 45 feet.
6. Game will be played with batting entire side is considered half of an inning.
7. Game length:  Four (4) innings per game or 90 minutes whichever occurs first.
8. Batting per side is over once line-up has completely batted, there are no outs. Halfway thru season, coaches can decide if they want to start enforcing outs.
9. No steals.
10. Hit ball must travel ten (10) feet from the back of the plate to be considered a hit.

U6-7 (Machine Pitch)

1. Machine Pitch using spring-loaded machine similar to Louisville Blue Flame Ultimate Pitching Machine.  Machine will be operated for pitching at approximately 35 mph.
2. Regulation Baseball for play is Champion BCS5 Level 5 only.
3. A designated representative from each team will jointly keep score.
4. Coach of team at bat will operate machine.
5. Teams will play ten (10) players at a time.  Four outfielders, four infielders, pitcher as a defensive field player in machine area, and a catcher.
6. Coach from each team will officiate.
7. Distance from machine to home plate will be 43 feet.
8. Distance along basepaths will be 55 feet.
9. Each half of an inning will end with either three outs or an excessive amount of offensive play.
10. Game length:  Six (6) innings per game or 90 minutes whichever occurs first.
11. No bunting.
12. Seven (7) pitch count with no strikes or balls.
13. No steals.
14. Five (5) run limit per team per inning.
15. Mercy Rule:  Game is over with a ten (10) run lead at end of trailing team bats during, or after, the 4th inning.
16. To enforce (Decision to made by coaches prior to game)

U8 (Kid Pitch)

1. Regulation Baseball for play is Champion BCS5 Level 5 only.
2. A designated representative from each team will jointly keep score.
3. Teams will play nine (9) players at a time.  Three outfielders, four infielders, pitcher and a catcher.
4. Two parents will officiate.  One will call balls/strikes from behind the pitcher and one will officiate the calls in the field/bases.
5. Distance from pitchers mound to home plate will be 40 feet.
6. Distance along base paths will be 60 feet.
7. No balk rule.
8. Each half of an inning will end with three outs or upon reaching the maximum run limit.
9. Game length:  Six (6) innings per game or 2 hours whichever occurs first.
10. 3 Strikes, 4 Balls, 3 outs per inning.
11. Base runners shall not leave/lead off base until ball has crossed home plate.
12. Base runners shall steal only 2nd and 3rd base on pass balls. 
13. No stealing home allowed. 
14. No infield fly rule.
15. All base runners must return to their base when Pitcher has ball in hand.
16. Four (4) run limit per team per inning.
17. Mercy Rule:  Game is over with a ten (10) run lead at end of trailing team bats during, or after, the 4th inning.

Rain Policy

The Commissioner of the organization owning the playing field is responsible to inform the other coaches if the game is to be called.
