Registration is open for the 2011 Winter Basketball Program.

Our county level teams are for boys and girls ages 8 through 17/18 (if still in school). Age before September 1, 2011. Age groups are: 8U (3rd grade), 9U (4th grade), 10U (5th grade), 11U (6th grade), 12U (7th grade), 13U (8th grade), 15U (9th and 10th grade), 17U (11th and 12th grade). Example: If your child is in 3rd grade and turned 9 before September 1, 2011, they must play up in the 9U (4th grade) group. Age is what the county goes by not grade.
Teams will be divided by skill levels to participate in the county league. The county has 4 different levels of play A, B, C & D. These levels allow for all the kids to be able to participate and play at their skill level to have fun and compete. Practices are twice per week and will be held at Central Elementary, Edgewater Elementary, Central Middle or Mayo Elementary. Games are on Saturday for all teams 8U - 13U and on Sunday for the 15U and 17U. The county picks what gym they play in, and this can be anywhere in county. They will play in the same gym every week.
Registration fee is $95. A game jersey will be supplied to each player, which will be returned at the end of season. If shorts are needed the cost is $25 (shorts are same as last year if you played for GSRA). High school age players are not required to order shorts. Please make sure to choose the option for registration plus shorts when you register to order shorts. This will be a total due of $120.
