Champions - Winter 2012
- SRYA Winter Competition Cheerleading
After months of practice, the South River Youth Athletics Competition Cheerleaders headed to Salisbury, Maryland to compete in their first competition of the winter season. On January 15, 2012, the Cheer and Dance Extreme competition convened 50 teams to compete in All Star and Recreation divisions. All three Seahawk teams finished in FIRST PLACE within their division with exciting, crowd appealing routines. The 14U team had the highest score of the day and took home the GRAND CHAMPION title in the Recreation division for the second year in a row!

SRYA Cheerleading is Nationally Ranked!
Congratulations to all three SRYA cheer teams. They were ranked in the top 10 for the month of October! The rankings are composed of teams that qualified for US Finals (US Finals is the highest level of competition for rec teams). The juniors are currently ranked #1 and have a full paid bid to the spring competition. The mini team (8 and under) are ranked 8th and the youth team (12 and under) are ranked 9th. Awesome job to all girls and coaches! Way to make us proud!

Congratulations to the South River Boys U9 soccer team. They won the Silver Championship at the Columbia Amanda Post Tournament this weekend. The team swept all three pool games--and won a shootout in the Final. Our hats off to Coach Mike Grigsby, Bradley Ball, Michael Daily, Hunter Danesi, Joey Dolinger, Michael Grigsby (Jr.), Kevin Lippincott, Michael Morley, Brendan Mulcahy, Sean O'Connor, Drew Peterson, and Jackson Ruckman. - Soccer - Girls U11 Team wins AAYSA Division 1 with 6-1-1 record.

- Winter Competition Cheerleading - With the Winter Cheer Season slowly coming to an end, we are proud to announce that the 10U team took 1st place in their division the weekend of March 5 & 6th in Rehoboth Beach, and also earned a 1st place bid to the U.S. Finals in May. The 14U team took 2nd place in their division and also won a 2nd place bid to the Finals. Congratulations to all the girls and coaches for their hard work and dedication this season.

- Lacrosse - Coach Mike Sweeney and Coach Nick DiMauro's 11U Boys Lacrosse Pee Wee Team had a great Fall Ball season record of 9 wins with only 1 loss in the AYLA Fall Ball Lacrosse League.

- Lacrosse - Eric Lavat's Boys U9 summer team wins Beachlax tournament in Ocean City, MD
- Soccer - Girls U8 Team wins AAYSA Division 1 with 8-0-1 record.
The South River Blue Dolphins U8 county girls soccer team earned the Spring 2010 AAYSA Division 1 County Championship by achieving an undefeated season with an 8-0-1 record. The Blue Dolphins outscored opponents by a 41-8 margin.Team members included Juliana Covey, Megan Curtner, Molly McQueeny, Jamie Marceron, Alyssa Piera, Alexa D'Angelo, Tess Casper, Grace Casper, Cassie Koziolek, Jenna Suite, and Anja Weigt.
- Soccer - Boys U9 Team wins AAYSA Division 2 with 8-0 record.
- Soccer - Girls U11 Team wins AAYSA Division 1 with 6-1-1 record.
- Softball - U14 Lady Seahawks softball went 11-0. Anne Arundel County Champs.
